National Back Exchange - Why reinvent the wheel

Conference2018_bannerThe National Back Exchange (NBE) is a non-profit association set up to develop, disseminate, and promote evidence-based best practice relating to manual handling activities.

Each September, since 1992, NBE organises and runs a highly-respected conference for people with an interest in manual handling. This year’s conference and exhibition will take place in Hinckley on 24th to 26th September, with the theme “Why reinvent the wheel”.

Arjo will be showcasing our solutions for safe patient handling and ergonomic safety on our stand in the London Suite, stand 21. Come along to try our products first hand and discuss your requirements with our experienced team.

On the Monday, we will be facilitating a workshop on ‘Helping to reduce the ergonomic risks associated with sit to stand and patient transportation’ using evidence based practice as well as practical activities. This will take place on 24th September at 3pm in the Paris Suite.

We will also be presenting a workshop on the ‘Foundation principles of Haptonomy in patient handling’ which will introduce delegates to the foundation principles of Haptonomy (or ‘the science of touch’) and include a practical workshop allowing delegates to put the principles into practice in particular when considering in bed transfers. This workshop will be held on 25th September at 11:15am in Hansom Suite.
